We Mac users always seem to be expected to pay more, but it usually just works. That is still inexpensive compared with risky, expensive business of sending the tapes out. I have the time to fiddle with it and am something of a control freak, so I am 95% happy with this purchase. -5% for confusing, ineffective registration process.

I was a little skeptical that this would work, but wasn't comfortable sending away my irreplaceable VHS tapes to be converted to digital files. Very disappointing & frustrating. When it worked, it did a great job, allowing capture files up to about 27 mb/s. But, it's useless, if the Vidbox keeps failing. Another cheap, low-grade, Chinese product, with no real technical support in sight.
