I'm currently copying the last files and when i am done i will delete the old NTFS partition and create a Mac OS. I'll do this and let you know if it works. So i deleted the HFS partition (which was the empty partition) and created an exFAT or whatever it's called. Ms dos fat format for mac and pc. I figured, since exFAT can connect to OSX, it would let me copy from the exFAT to the Mac OS.
And go supoport the real developer. I hope Apple removes this from the store. This is piracy at its worst.
I was sent a complete solution to my problem that also served as an advanced Synalyze It! I doubt that I will ever fully exploit the potential of Synalyze It! But the value I’ve received is already many multiples of the price I paid. John Goodman For some well-known formats you can. Matching grammars are suggested automatically when you open a file.
After doing a day of collecting I realized that in the process of renaming the files I was truncating the file extensions without realizing it. I hopped onto the App Store and found this fantastic piece of software. After looking up the file signatures for jpg and png, I was able to successfully give all my files the correct extensions with ease. In fact, I also fixed up a few files that were uploaded with the wrong extension to begin with! I didn’t use any of the advanced features, but if you’re in a similar situation as me I would highly recommend this software. This is indeed not much more than a copy-paste of Hex Fiend, and from what I can tell it does not abide by or acknowledge the two-clause BSD license. It’s so, so simple to follow it and the license gives a lot of freedom.

Helps me get back up to speed should I return a month later but those that don't already know tend not to find it that useful.
32 megs is a big file now? I mean some might not have undo buffers that large but most will only start to choke when the operating system does. Anyway I tried out a whole bunch of hex editors as part of my GBA and DS docs.

Thank you for taking the time to bring this excellent tool to life. I’m the author of an open-source program called, which is used for reviewing CPAP machine data (used in Sleep Apnea treatment), and already I’m wishing I discovered Synalyze a lot sooner, as an awful lot of binary format hacking is involved thanks to the manufacturers not releasing documentation. I particularly like being able to use expressions in the length fields. I spent ages looking through the example grammar and scripts only to find I didn’t even need them thanks to this feature. (It pays to read the manual first.;) Keep up the good work!

To be honest, this almost looks like magic to me! So please let me know of the best hex editor out there that can do as I wish, if such a thing even exists (hopefully). Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated. You are far from the first person to float the idea of video learning for ROM hacking. The trouble is nobody has been able to suggest a format that will do it justice, and while not absolutely essential you can get far further more quickly if you can cram a bunch of text type things in your head. Two problems seem to be ROM hacking is 90% analysing, 10% doing (as opposed to something like machining which is where I look first for long form educational videos and absolutely benefits from good setup/analysis but is mostly doing) and to slow down and explain every step (assuming it is even coherent in the first place -- I will often jump between three or four tools and experience dozens of dead ends in figuring out how something works*) takes about 10 times as long. Equally plenty of guides feature nice images.
In the first hack, one of Kirby's Adventure (NES), one hacker was able to allow Kirby to keep the UFO power-up; and in the second hack, one of Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! The purpose of distributing a hack in patch form is to avoid the legal aspects of distributing entire ROM images; the patch records only what has changed in the ROM, hence distributing it does not distribute parts of the original game. A patch is also smaller than the full ROM image (an NES ROM can run anywhere from 40KB-512KB; a Super NES ROM can (usually) go up to 4MB). Sonic Hacking The majority of done in the Sonic scene is done on the earlier games, since such games are smaller and relatively simple compared to the games of more advanced consoles. Also, many ROM hackers in the Sonic scene grew up with the Genesis and its games, so they hold fonder memories than more contemporary games. Games for the and are also popular for hacking.
