I use BetterTouchTools. It can emulate button pressees, mouse clicks, lots of useful functions depending on the currently open application. Ex: F1 in evernote makes text bold, F2 makes text bigger, F3 selects the whole line: BetterTouchTools was free until very recently.
I've never used Mac and so have never looked into it. However, a google search gave me could you also explain how the AHK binary + source code works and runs?.exe files are almost always just some binary combined with other files. So, AHK runs the script just as it would normally, only that it is inside the exe file instead of being in some folder (think of itas if the script and the exe are put in a zip, and when you run the exe, it unzips the script file and runs it - This isn't technically accurate, but gives you a pretty good picture) also, how do you know that that’s how it’s compiled (and not machine code)? Generally exe are compressed and encrypted, so it's hard/impossible to separate out the various parts.
Or might give you some of the macro stuff without actual macros. You'll be dealing with actual application hooks instead of input hacks, but it's worth checking out. There's also Spotlight.
What subset of AHK functionality are you trying to mimic? Comes up in this discussion kind of a lot. You can have it store snippets of text, fire scripts, and move a lot of stuff between programs.

Now it switched to a 'pay as much as you like' model with a minimum of ~2 dollars or so. However, it's a GUI based automater, it doesn't have the programming features that Autohotkey has. You can however combine multiple actions like activating a window, press a button, hide a window again etc.
Been tearing my hair out because I use a lot of the keyboard shortcuts in AHK on WinXP. Searched for a Mac equivalent but nothing Then after a bit of more searching I found Typinator.

I have used Exchange 2010 Service Pack 1 but still failed to remove this error. One day some files in my system got corrupted due to virus attack. 
Almost none nowadays. Check box word for mac. Basically it sucks.
Like on my system, 'ddte' becomes '2009.08.22' in any program whenever I'm typing. Or might give you some of the macro stuff without actual macros.
